Another year later...

I know. I know. I don't use deviantart anymore. I come now and then to look at pretty artwork, but to upload my own stuff? I haven't had a chance to do anything.

You know why?

Because I'm married.

And now I have a baby.

:)

So... my time is mostly spent feeding her and changing her diaper and hugging her, kissing her, loving her, adoring her. Watching her smile in her sleep, listening to her giggle in her sleep... trying to catch up with my own lost hours of sleep while she's sleeping... etc.

Yah. Not much time to draw or create new artwork. However, I have picked up knitting and crocheting and keep myself busy with it.

I wonder what I'm going to do with my life most days.

Anyways, we'll see what happens in the future. For now, I'll be quite busy raising a little girl. :)

  • Mood: Adoration
  • Listening to: Classical music

Over one year later...

Looking at the date since I've been a Deviantart user... it's been clearly over 5 years.
Wow!

And things have come a long way since then. The last time I updated the journal was on Dec 15, 2006.

Whats up with me in life? LOTS.

But the main thing is that I got married and happily living my life with my husband. X3 Did I mention how crazy happy I am? Bahahaha!

Hopefully I'll get around to doing something "productive" with my career. For the time being, life has turned a sharp U turn for me and I'm taking my time adjusting.

I really am hopelessly in love... *le sigh*

Currently... I've become this Harry Potter slash Severus Snape fanatic. And being given the said sort of RP as well... makes me more obsessed over it. (What a hypocrite I am. And I didn't like HP before... hahaha. I was proven wrong...)

Though I've switched over to my favourite author - Terry Pratchett, and have begun reading his Discworld series. The first book? The Color of Magic. Not the best choice to start with, but following the guidelines of which books to read, and in which order because it should logically make sense... each book follows a different theme, and they can be grouped up together and placed in order ie- the wizard books, the witches books, death, etcish... it's complicated, but the guidelines are out there.

I've been reading so much... it's the only thing I've been doing now instead of drawing. o_o;; No motivation, no heart left...
I do have a commission, but I'm such a slow, lazy bum. Ahaha... will do my best to work on it as fast as possible though.

Want to do some self-directed projects as well... continue doing my Tarot Deck. =D 56 to go... hahaha.
I'm going to be mean and not post those up... because of the deviantart policies and stuff.

Need to update and fix up my website too... eventually... eventually...

Long time no see peoples

!!!

Okay, its been... *counts* 5 months since I last came here and updated my journal or anything really.
I haven't really drawn anything - I've lost the heart to do any "illustrative" sort of work. Perhaps because the design world has engulfed me. Because grids are my major turn on now, and working with symbols and typography is much more attractive.

I LOVE looking at illustrations and beautiful sketches and artwork... but I just don't have the chance to do it myself. School requires design, not art. But I try to incorporate the art in my design work... but my designs actually turn out to be much more.... organized and static. Plain, stale practically. I'm trying to break free from that state and do a much more free flowing design. I guess... I like simple and clean design. And rather feminine too.

For one of my classes, I am currently working on creating the major arcana in the Tarot deck. This will prove to be interesting as I shall be deciphering the symbols in all 22 cards and reinterpreting them in my own manner. This will be a heavy job but am getting a head start on it. Bit off more than I could chew. Teacher is supporting me though. Other classes are rather boring at the time being... but it could also be just because I have no lecture class to compare the boringness to. Well...

I've given up on drawing for now (aside for my assignments). So you may not see any more updates for another long time from me. If ever, it will be up on my website:
